The Siskiyou County Tobacco Education Project asked residents of Weed, CA, what they think about secondhand smoke in outdoor public areas .1 Most believe the health of the community would improve if parks and outdoor spaces were smokefree. Here’s what we found:

The Siskiyou County Tobacco Education Project asked residents of Yreka, CA, what they think about secondhand smoke in outdoor public areas .1 Most responded they believe drifting secondhand smoke and tobacco litter are problems in their community. Here’s what we found:

92% of respondents believe tobacco products are harmful to people’s health.

77% of respondents support a local policy or law that makes outdoor recreation and work areas smokefree.

59% of respondents believe their city council should take action on tobacco.
