Letter to a Loved One This fact card helps people encourage a loved one or family member to quit using tobacco or nicotine. The message offers nonjudgmental, compassionate concern and opens the door for honest communication. It is designed for African American and Black audiences. Includes information on how to access Kick It California cessation services. See page 47.

We have 38 new and revised materials! Topics include tobacco and oral health, nicotine pouches, cigars, and cessation.

Hooked on Hookah, Punjabi This two-sided fact card urges people to understand that using a hookah is using tobacco and that it’s just as addictive and harmful as the tobacco in cigarettes and other tobacco products. Hookah contains two times more nicotine than cigarette smoke, delivers 10 times the carbon monoxide of a cigarette, and has 69 toxins and chemicals that can cause cancer. See page 61.

Healthy Stores and Healthy Communities Go Hand in Hand

Tobacco and Oral Health This brochure highlights how tobacco use can cause serious oral health problems including tooth decay, gum disease, and cancer of the mouth and throat. The brochure encourages people to quit using tobacco, practice good oral health habits, and to get regular checkups from a dentist. See page 47.

This fact sheet emphasizes that rural convenience stores can thrive without relying on tobacco sales and encourages stores to explore selling healthy products such as fresh produce. Includes information on how to order free STAKE Act materials. See page 65.
